How to Calibrate Control Board W10803586 (and Compatible Boards)

SERVICE MANUAL BELOW

Many control boards across Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, and other brands may appear different β€” but they are actually built on the same platform and can be calibrated to work properly.

The W10803586 control board (shown in our instructional video) can also replace multiple other part numbers as long as the board powers on. If the board receives power, it can usually be programmed and calibrated to function correctly.

πŸ”§ Condition of These Boards

Condition: New
The boards are either:

  • Never used, or
  • Pulled from brand-new machines that were never placed into service.

Sometimes the original factory performs a power-on self-test at installation. Our team may also perform a power-on self-test (POST) to confirm full functionality prior to sale. This does not mean the board was used β€” it means it was technically validated.

βš™οΈ When Calibration Is Needed

Calibration is important if:

  • The board powers on but functions incorrectly
  • Certain features are missing
  • Compatibility warnings appear from websites or service manuals

Once calibrated, the board should operate normally, as long as there’s no physical or electronic damage.

πŸ”„ Calibration Overview (General Process)

(Exact sequence may vary depending on model β€” see video for reference)

  1. Power On the Unit
    • Wait 30 seconds
    • If LEDs blink or screen activates β†’ calibration is possible
  2. Enter Calibration Mode
    Example:

    • Press POWER once
    • Within 5 seconds, press START three times
    • Lights should flash β€” calibration mode activated
  3. Configure Settings
    Adjust according to machine specifications:

    • Unit type (washer/dryer)
    • Load size / cycle options
    • Motor & spin settings
    • Drain pump behavior
    • Sensor mapping
  4. Save Settings
    • Press & hold START for 5 seconds
    • System should beep or flash to confirm
  5. Run Diagnostic Test Cycle
    • Check motor, water valves, drain pump, heating, sensors
    • If anything isn’t correct β†’ repeat calibration
